The Final Day.

Today was our last full day in Auckland and mummy and daddy took me to the zoo to see the animals. Mummy and daddy did a behind the scenes tour that meant they could get up close and personal with some of the animals but I was too young (I am always either too young or too little for most of the things). They had fun though and I guess that's the main thing.
We had an adventure getting the bus back from the zoo and when we got back to the hotel, mummy and daddy looked at the photos and then had a siesta. I like siestas.
We got La Porchetta for tea but it was sooooo loud in the restaurant so we walked back to the hotel. I am a bit sad to be leaving NZ but mummy said that we will return soon.

I Thought I Was in Antarctica!

Today daddy had to work so he got up early and went off to do his thing and mummy and I had a little sleep in.
Mummy took me to Kelly Tarlton's which is a place where they have lots of underwater critters and some king and gentoo penguins from Antarctica. I have never seen a penguin up close before and they were a bit freaky. I got to see snow (I haven't seen that before either) and go on a snow cat. That was fun.
Then mummy had to go and swim with the sharks in a shark tank. I was too scared to watch. I think mummy was scared because she was shaking. When she came out though she said it was fun.
I also got to see mummy feeding the giant sting rays - they were as a big as a bus! OK probably not that big but big anyways.
Mummy and daddy went to a steak place for tea and I stayed at the hotel because I was wet and tired (it started raining today).

The View From Above...

Today we all slept in because yesterday was such a stupidly long day. I was ready to go at 8 but mummy and daddy were still sleeping. You should have heard all the noise from the construction sites next to our hotel! How they slept in - I don't know.
We went into Auckland to go to the Sky Tower because mummy and daddy had a stupid idea that they might do the Sky Walk. It's 182m above the ground without any rails on either side. After seeing that - mummy and daddy both said no.
So we went to the observation deck and I was really brave by stepping onto the glass floor.
Mummy and daddy then went to the vodka ice bar but I couldn't go because I am too young. Then we had a nice dinner and an early night (mummy had some NZ seafood and she said it was yummy!).

I Thought It Was Just All A Bit Smelly!

The smelly geyser. Mummy got drenched - it was funny.
The boiling mud pools at Rotorua.
Outside the Waitomo Caves. I was glad to be in the daylight.

Today mummy, daddy and I went on a big trip. We visited the Waitomo Glow Worm Caves where we went on a boat through the caves and the glow worms lit up the ceiling. I was a bit scared of the dark. Then we went to Rotorua to see the big geyser that spurts water out into the air. We saw the Haka which scared me a bit because of the scary faces. I also got to meet some cool animals. Mummy and daddy were very tired on the way back to Auckland so I just looked out of the window at the pretty lights. I am glad we left Rotorua because it smelled like rotten eggs!

I Was Hoping To See A Kiwi...

Here we are in New Zealand. I was hoping to see a Kiwi bird but mummy says that they sleep for about 20 hours a day and just wake up at night. Mummy and daddy did the Auckland Bridge Climb today and I was too little to do it so mummy found a little bridge for me to do it. I didn't get to wear a playsuit but I still thought I got up high.

Sleepless in Seattle.

In am in an F18 here. Daddy said it is a good plane.
I am in another plane here. Honestly they all just melded into one by the end of the day.
Look at me! I'm a pilot.
I am a bit little compared to all the big engine parts of the airplanes.
I learnt lots about airplanes.

Mummy, daddy and I are in Seattle. Mummy got so bored and daddy got excited about all of the planes. Mummy ate some nice peanut butter fudge though and did get to see the underground city so daddy told her to stop whinging.

Hollywood! I'm Gonna Be Discovered!

I wish I was at the Oscar's.

At Graumann's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Mummy, daddy and I had ful in Hollywood. We went to see the movie star's homes and I saw Courtney Cox! We also went to the Hollywood Cemetery and paid our respects to the famous who have passed - including Mel Blanc who is my hero.

Six Flags...Yawn...

Sylvester was a bit bit rough and scary.
Daffy Duck smelled a little like potato chips. I wonder what he eats?
Bugs Bunny was a nice little bunny.

Daddy wanted to go to the coaster park so mummy and I had to go all day and it was long, hot and boring. I did get to meet some nice people though while daddy whizzed through the trees and up to the clouds. I had to look away a few times. I was scared.
